Letters Received from Sydney Law Firm
We have received three letters from the law firm Holding Redlich representing a resident, Mr Mark Cornish, who intends to “conduct a review of the Forum’s activities and to submit an information package to Council”. The Committee has not been contacted by Mr Cornish and most of the information he has requested is available on the Forum website.
The first letter was sent on 21 December, and we responded on 10 January. Two further letters were sent on 24 January and 2 February and we have drafted a response, which is with Council for review.
Letter Sent to Council Alleging Manipulation & Censorship
On 30 January, a resident wrote to Council and our Councillors disputing the minutes of the December Forum meeting, describing them as “clearly an attempt by the Office Bearers of the Berry Forum to manipulate the outcome of this discussion on the night”. He further claimed that the proposed amendment “clearly imposes a level of control and censorship to be exercised by the Committee and Office Bearers”. >> Letter sent to Council 30 Jan.
