On 11 September 2019, the Forum Committee received a petition opposed to a proposed multi-dwelling development at 52 Parker Crescent. The petition had 52 names of Huntingdale residents.
The application (DA 19/1857) is for five detached dwellings on a half acre lot.
The Forum Committee met on 16 September to review the application and petition and to consider a course of action. Given the significant issues relating to density and amenity associated with the proposed site plans, it was agreed that the Committee should –
- Contact Council to request an extension of four weeks for residents’ submissions
- Request that the DA be called up and decided by all councillors rather than be delegated to staff.
- Assist residents with communications with Council and understanding development planning processes.
